Black Moon Rising, The Second New Moon In The Month And What It Means For You

628788main_pia14599-43_946-710Lots of dark buzz about the Black Moon. Let’s break it down for you so that’s it’s not so ominous and imposing, and also look at the potential occult meanings of this symbolic moment in space and time.

First off, the Black Moon refers to the second New Moon in one month. It’s not as exotic as it sounds. The last one was in March, 2014. The world didn’t end. However,as we roil around the kitchen sink drain, circling the black hole, sucking history and culture down the drain, even symbolic days like this one adds to the occult momentum of our times. We went through a cycle with the four Blood Moons and while a few strange and sketchy events might have occurred, we’re still standing.

This has been a pretty intense month for Virgos and Pisces, with the eclipses, and MR in Virgo, but we catch a break with the New Moon in Libra at 8 degrees. It has the potential of being a pleasant Moon as it conjuncts the Sun and Jupiter, also in Libra. It’s a reset for beauty and harmony in ones life, finding some balance within, especially if you’ve been out of balance as of late. Libra isn’t a radical energy, but it does tend to teeter and totter in the realm of decision. If you achieve some insight and clarity, don’t hesitate–act on it.

From an occult perspective, I would like to quote the Machiavellian, Rahm Emmanuel, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” While this New Moon isn’t a crisis, it does fit the occult profile of a celestial event, where the energy is inverted. So if I am talking about a Moon that carries with it the power of renewal and purity, in the “Upside Down” it’s the opposite, so we’re talking Aries, blood, violence and war, which unfortunately seems to be in the air.
